White Sand Beach, Pakweep Beach and
Bang Sak Beach are located between KM 68 and KM 77 of Highway 4 (half way between Khao Lak and Takua Pa).
This expansive bay is lined by beautiful casuarina trees and many coconut palm trees. Lots of nice little restaurants on the beach offer a broad range of Thai food and excellent seafood.

Richard Doring's opinion (September 2015): White Sand Beach has very fine white sand without stones. Between the Sarojin and the Pullman there are 3 restaurants of the Prayod family right on the beach. Behind each restaurant about 3 dozen bungalows are lined up towards the road. They were all built from bricks by the same contractor with basically the same plan under the palm trees. They are all equipped with air-conditioning and attached bathrooms with hot shower. Guests in the bungalows get a free sunbed on the beach, non-guests pay 150 Baht per day. This part of the beach belongs to the most beautiful stretches in the Khao Lak area.

The Goon & Gib Restaurant is in a picturesque location under huge trees right on the beach. Goon and Gib has 9 bungalows for 1500 Baht, the last one near the road being the family bungalow for 5 persons for 5000 Baht. No breakfast is included, WiFi is free in the rooms, room service is 2 to 3 times per week.
The restaurant serves excellent Thai food and seafood with most dishes between 130 and 160 Baht. The drinks are inexpensive, too, a tender drinking coconut costs 60 Baht, though.

The Ao Thong Beach has 18 bungalows behind the restaurant in 2 rows. Five bungalows have 2 beds for 1700 Baht, 12 bungalows have a third bed besides the double bed for 2200 Baht, and one bungalow has two rooms with 3 beds each and with a connecting door for 3800 Baht. They are built on stilts with a terrace out front. Of course, they have all air conditioning and hot water showers in the bathroom. A small breakfast with coffee/tea, toast and fruit in season is included.
The restaurant has nice sitting arrangements and is very good.

The White Sand Beach has 9 pretty bungalows on stilts for 1500 Baht, all with terrace and air conditioning, as well as hot water shower and a big fridge. The family bungalow consists of 2 rooms for 2 and 3 guests and costs 5000 Baht, 2 extra sunbeds can be provided for 200 Baht each. No breakfast is included.
The restaurant is under many shady trees or under a big roof from palm leaves, the food is very good.

Richard Doring's opinion (September 2015): The Pullman Resort has two wings - Family wing and Spa wing. Family wing has a family pool and children's facilities. Spa wing features rooms close to Le Spam fitness center. Beautifully furnished villas and suites have outdoor showers, balcony, and modern furniture. There are a nice spa salon, swimming pools, kid's club, fitness center, and many more features to keep guests active.

Richard Doring's opinion (September 2015): The Beyond Resort Khao Lak is a beachfront resort at Pakweep Beach in Khao Lak. The 177 villas are spread over a large area with a stream flowing through the center. The Beyond Resort Khao Lak is designed for adults only. The villas are very spacious with 64 sq.m. and feature modern decor with aesthetic design. The greenery around creates a tropical feeling. The Beyond Resort is built with all modern amenities and facilities like swimming pool near the beach, 3 restaurants and 2 bars, a fitness room and a spa offering Thai massage and various therapies. The sandy beach in front is very beautiful and nearly deserted. A few hundred meters to the north are local restaurants and massage huts, as well as a beach tailor and a tour counter.

Richard Doring's opinion (September 2015): The Mai Khao Lak Beach Resort is situated at the quiet Pakweep Beach, separated only by a sandy road from the fine sandy beach. The resort has a total of 200 rooms, several restaurants, bars and two swimming pools, where sun chairs, umbrellas and beach towels are available without charge. The double rooms have a surface of 55 sq.m. and first class furniture and all modern amenities. For active guests there are a fitness center, a tennis court and a wellness area with massage. Mountain bikes and kayaks are for rent.
